Remote Learning Curriculum Overview

Pupil Remote Learning Policy

Welcome to our Home Learning Page at Southall School.  Below you will find a number of links, guides and useful information that we hope will support you with home learning during periods of enforced absence from school.

We hope you agree that the work we have been providing up until now has been meaningful, enjoyable and engaging for pupils.  We aim to do everything we can to continue this.  In order to do this, we have made changes to the way work is accessed by pupils.  These changes have ensured that teachers can mark work in a timely fashion, give their valuable feedback to pupils and accurately record progress over time.

We recognise that things have changed dramatically since the first lockdown.  Schools are now seen as education providers again and therefore we must work together to ensure pupils are accessing all aspects of remote learning wherever possible.

As such, lessons are no longer viewed optional as they form part of our school day, therefore, there is an expectation that all pupils invited to a Teams lesson, attend that lesson.  We appreciate that parents and carers do your best in often impossible circumstances to help support home learning.  If your child is missing lessons or not handing in work, tutor teams will be calling home to see if they can support.  As always, we will work closely with families to support you all.

If you have any concerns, queries, need additional support to access work or don’t have the technology at home that you need, please contact us at home.learningteam@southallschool.com
